Our Space aims to be a sustainable, community-led hub at the heart of Selby that inspires and enables positive change. It exists to bring people together, strengthen community connections, and empower residents to shape their own future, particularly within a community experiencing high levels of deprivation, isolation, and inequality.

Our objectives are to:
- Support vulnerable residents by providing a safe, welcoming, and accessible space for people affected by poverty, poor health, isolation, and limited opportunities, helping to reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing
- Amplify community voices by involving local people in shaping activities, volunteering, and decision-making, ensuring those who often feel unheard can influence change
- Improve wellbeing and life opportunities through accessible activities, groups, and informal support that build confidence, skills, and resilience
- Act as a catalyst for change by responding flexibly to community-identified needs and working in partnership with other organisations to improve access to support and services
